IWB is the BEST!

At last,in this Technology and Innovation in Education subject,I learned many usefull and important aspects especially about Interactive White Board(IWB).For me,IWB is a powerfull tool which is need to be use in every school in order to enhance the ICT skills not only among the students but even among the teachers.I strongly believe that the LOST concept (Learning using open source Technology) which was introduced by Prof.madya Dr.RM is a good concept that should be highlighted by every school in our country in order to polish our teaching and learning style.The five iniatiative of ICT i.e TV Pendidikan,computer lab,schoolnet,PPSMI (Etems) and Smart school is going to engage the learners,activating their existing knowledge,make them to demonstrate new knowledge,make them to apply the new knowledge and finally make encourage them to integrate the new knowledge into their challenging world.

Ø In this class, I am very excited because for a long time I have been waiting for someone to teach me about Adobe Photoshop. I am very pleased with Mr. Shahril because eventhough he is very expert with the software, he is so patient and even taught us from the very basic on how to use the Adobe Photoshop software. I think this software is very good because it can be useful in every department or we can use it in our daily lives. At the end of this class, I am very satisfied and very excited to show what I have learned from the class with the poster assignment that Mr Shahril have told us to do.Thank you.

Ø In this class, I have learned about how to get information from schoolnet web. I think the web is very good not only for students but also for teacher. This is because they can get information from there. For example if one day I become a teacher, and at the same time I have to handle a club or society, I can refer to the schoolnet to at least get the basic information from there. Apart from that, teacher can ask their students to explore the schoolnet web to get information for themselves. I think the student will enjoy it because the web itself is very user friendly and very interesting. I am very sure the student will enjoy it. But apart from the good, the web also got something to improve. This is because, some of the part is still not been updated. This can frustrating the students.thank you.

Photoshop

In the lesson of 20th Mac,I learned one of the software which is most usefull i.e Photoshop.Photoshop has many tools especially in creating graphics pictures with variety of our favourite colours.From wat mr.Shahril had mention about photoshop,I realized that everyday professional and enthusiast designers use Photoshop to create graphics, logos, special effects and even web templates.So we can say that photoshop is one of the powerfull tool to generate,to modify a various type of graphics picture according to our taste and i believe that the application of this photoshop in classroom by teachers and students will make the lesson becoming more innovative and interesting besides engaging them to get masterized the ICT skills.

My School Net n TV Pendidikan ( Thennarasu )

upon completion of this lecture i realised the benefits of both myschoolnet and tv pendidikan to the teachers as well as the students. Myschoolnet caters a lot of informations be it educational or extra curriculat activities. students can use this site to help them further explore and understand what they have learned in the classroom. they could also browse and have a better a idea of the uniform bodies in their school before joining any one of their interest. as for teachers myschool net can be a tool to enhance their teaching and also to engage the students. but it is very sad that some of the features of this site could not be accessed. its a real let down but i really hope this problem can be overcomed for the benefit of all the teachers and students. TV Pendidikan is also another tool for the teachers to use to engage and vary their teaching methods. both of this tool is readily available and it is up to our creativity on how to utilise them.

p/s : it was very touching to see the teacher suffer in SK Abuan........hope that we would not need to face the same situation... but be brave and try to addapt if u have to..........

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP POSTER FIVE STAR - (AZIMI)

In this class we learn how to use adobe photoshop in making poster. There are quite a number software available in the market for graphic editing, but Adobe Photoshop is one of the most popular software used.
En Shahril guided us on how to use Adobe Photoshop software step by step. For me learning this software again is not a problem since I have work as a grphic designer before. Almost all the method thought by En Shahril have been practiced by me before. Yet there still a lot to learn on the management aspect where En. Shahril provide some tips and info on how to use the software in an efficient way.
In the end of the class we produce a poster to show the our understanding on how to use this software

School Net as Engager!

Hai.For the lesson of 13th of mac,I enjoyed with the usage of School net whereby it was the first time i exposed to that net.The lesson conducted by Mr.Shahril was realy gave me many benefits especially the the usage of schoolnet in school by students and even teachers in terms of Curiculum and Cocuriculum.Our group FiveStar have been given a category of Cocuriculum activity in school to be presented in the classroom with schoolnet.After i explored it,i realized that schoolnet is realy beneficial as its not only used to get information bout any particular of academic or Cocuriculum matter,it also able to give the best choice to students on choosing their favourite activities besides enhancing their skills and knowledges in ICT.

schoolnet lesson (AZIMI)

Today lesson En. Shahril intoduce us to schoolnet website. In this website there are a lot of resources that can be used in teaching and duiding for teacher in school. the website cover almost every aspect involve in school. The website being divided into 3 major group that is:

1. Administrator
2. Teacher
3. Student

The administrator site is mostly for teacher and admin officer user. The teacher and student site is the important part of the website because the content is relate to teacher P & P process.

To learn more on this subject, En. Shahril has given each group is given a task to be presented depending on the specific site content being assigned. Each group is given 5 minute presentation. each group accomplish they task well and it was an intersting class

In the lesson of 7th week,I learned about ‘Rekabentuk Pengajaran’ conducted by mr.Shahril.The model of teaching that I gone through was realy interesting and gave me a clear picture on how to prepare our tasks with a proper steps.There are important five steps which is need to be taken i.e Analysis,Design,Development,Implementation and
Evaluation.From all of these five steps,Analysis is the most important step than others as it influence the other steps and whatever error founded in any other steps still can be corrected and modified and followed by more proper manner of process way.

getting Engaged!

Hai.During the lesson for the past 3 weeks,I was realy enjoyed with the usage of Technologies (smart board) to be engaged.I realized that LOST concept is an effective method to approach students and make them to try ,to feel,to understand in a easier way their classrooms lesson.Im very comfortable to use ICT technologies compared to the old style (chalk n talk) as it ensure learning continuity,support anytime,anywhere(blogging). By using this IWB,I strongly believe that im able to integrate ict technologies in the subject (Maths n Science) and to be more innovative,creative in my teaching.

Download driver

In the third class, I’ve learned more about how to download and install printer driver from the internet. It’s look easy, but at the same time I know what is the most useful and faster web to download the driver. In this class also it can improve my public speaking because we have to present it to the classmate. ~ SYAH FAZREE ~

Smart board

For the second class, I’ve learned how to use digital camera and get to know more about printer. But the most interesting for me in that class was how to use the smart board. It is because that was my first experience using it, so that really interesting for me. Smart board for me, not just can make teachers easier to teach the students, it can also engage students. I’m really looking forward to use Smart board when I’m teaching soon. ~ SYAH FAZREE ~

In my first class, I am very interested about the topic engage or enrage. It give me an idea how to attract student to really enjoy when attend my class. As what was I’m experience before, in my time teachers always gave 1 way communication and just teach to finish the syllabus. That can make students very bored and it also can limit students to interest to the subject. For me, I’ll make sure when I’m teaching soon, I will using the method that I’ve been learn here. Such as, 2 way communication, engage them with group activity and activity that can make them think. ~ SYAH FAZREE ~

ENGAGE & NOT ENRAGE ( Thennarasu )

Being here for three weeks has made me realize many things that i thought was not relevant. Due to personal experience, i assumed that learning process was more centered to what they want us to know. Not to deny that the education process that i went through was boring. I would consider my self very lucky to be here and be able to learn about innovation and technology in education. This opportunity would enable me to equip myself with the necessary knowledge and skills to incorporate I&T in my teaching process. The activities in this class are really engaging and i hope that i could conduct all my classes in future in a very interesting manner.But what makes me wonder is that the fact that this method and techniques are not practiced widely in our country..WHY??No matter whatever the reason is, i hope with this group of new would be teachers, we can implement new ideas and engage the students. Last but not least, don't be just another teacher, take the first step and make a difference.

Nothing to comment on our last class since the technical part teaching is what I do for my living. Assembling computer componen is quite easy, all it take just some extra effort and bravery to discover. Even with all the knowledge you have, there stil a lot of thing to learn from that class, like how to past the knowledge you have to other so that they can also be good. Then a question arise, it's worth to teach other the same knowledge you have and compete with them...

This website is quite user friendly to search for driver. The only problem is you need to register with the website first, yet I found it quite easy. I recommend this website for new user as it provide easy navigating and user friendly environment.

You just need to click on the picture at the center of the website and follow the instruction on the next page. Each picture represent the driver category (Example : printer are categorize under “printer/plotter/multi-office”. When to type the device name in the search box, please used exact device name as the search engine quite nomad.

2. http://www.driverzone.com

This website is similar to the first website in functionality yet different it operating. The website provide link to download the driver at the manufacturer website. The good news is that the driver downloaded is the latest and official provided by the manufacturer. The not really good news is new user may lost track when reaching the manufacturer website. I recommend this website for advance user.

Writer choice:
I chose none of above as I use different method of driver searching. Mostly I use yahoo to search for driver where I will click on the manufacturer website link. I prefer to download driver at the official website as it provide the latest driver. Another reason is if you unfamiliar with internet environment, you may searching driver at the wrong place where they may give you bad driver or maybe the just giving you virus or spam acting your driver. Chose carefully and freely ask the expert for the sake you your computer.

There are lots of different from the generation we grow up and the generation that we going to teach. We grow from environments with bamboo and jungle still around with television and radio already very facinating thing. The new generation born in world full of technology gadget and internet in they mind and life while we the previous generation learning to catch up with it everyday. Those difference experience in life may lead to miss understanding and communication. This is where the young generation enrage us and at the same time we unable to engage them because we did not understand each other.

Reflection of first lecture ( Thennarasu )

Upon completing the first lesson, we are made to wonder about the current style or approach being used in teaching. It has opened our eyes on the use of new method incorporating new technology as a part of presenting lessons. to engage a student is very important because if not they will shut us out and the objective of the lesson could not be achieved. in order to be a good teacher, we now believe that we should put our fear aside and implement PoEIT and LOST.
